Wait no further, for Lee Min-ho is returning to the acting scene after his mandatory two-year military stint.
Lee has become a household name after his breakthrough role of playing Gu Jun-pyo in Boys Over Flowers (2009). His showbiz career took off since.

The 32-year-old actor will star in an upcoming drama series, “The King: External Monarch”, scheduled for broadcast on SBS TV come April. The drama is also available for international viewing on Netflix.

Main cast of the series alongside Lee include Kim Go-eun and Woo Do-hwan. Lee plays Korean Emperor Lee Gon, Kim plays detective Jung Tae-eul and Woo plays Jo Young.
This romance series has a fictitious plot with fantasy love across parallel universes of Korea being an empire. And a democratic country.

It seems that emperor Lee Gon (Lee Min Ho) and detective Jung Tae-eul (Kim Go Eun) are working together to steer away from a crisis.
The writer of the upcoming series, Kim Eun-sook, has also accumulated many renowned series under her belt. Such include Secret Garden (2010) and Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016).
Discount the fact that Lee rides a white horse, runs into Jung Tae-eul, where they become the ideal onscreen couple.

“Lee and Kim are experts of romance and they can relay emotions and words through their alone”, a source from the production house Hwa&Dam pictures says.
