HONG KONG – World-famous model and actor Nam Joohyuk finally greeted his fans again in Hong Kong at “Private Stage [CURRENT] in Hong Kong”.
Starring in popular dramas including Who Are You: School 2015 (2015), Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo (2016) and The Bride of Habaek (2017), he quickly rose to fame, coupled by his heart-fluttering visuals.
This was the long-awaited chance for Hong Kong fans to meet Nam Joohyuk as he had never held any solo fan meeting in Hong Kong since 2015.
The fan meeting started with Nam Joohyuk’s performance of “기다림 (Waiting)”, continued by the talk of sharing his thoughts on current and future plans. During the talk, Nam Joohyuk mentioned some challenges he had to overcome during the shooting of his new drama “Radiant”, where he had an emotional scene filled with tears.
Moreover, he praised the amazing night view in Hong Kong, and shared his recent trip to Jeju Island. He also did not forget to share his favorite songs, which were mostly oldies released in 1980s and 1990s. Meanwhile, he expressed his love to Hong Kong fans, by saying “I Love You” in Cantonese repeatedly.
Undoubtedly, there would be some interaction time with Hong Kong fans! Lucky fans who were picked or those who won the team competition, were able to take a polaroid with Nam Joohyuk and even receive a back hug from him! In between the games with fans, there was also another talk part that allowed fans to understand Nam Joohyuk more.
He mentioned that he usually saves good songs from the radio into his playlist, so the songs were more or less random. To reveal more, “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back” by Shawn Mendes was his favorite English pop song and “Wonderwall” by Oasis was his all-time favorite in karaoke.
The most special part of fan meeting might be the belated birthday celebration for Nam Joohyuk. He was so satisfied by the pretty birthday cake that celebrated both his birthday and the first station of “Private Stage [CURRENT]”, and took a photo with fans.
