SINGAPORE – At a tender age of 15 years old, where most are uncertain of their future and goals, IU began auditioning for many talent agencies with ambitions of being a singer. She debuted right then, in 2008.
Lee Ji-eun, better known by her pseudonym IU is bringing her “dlwlrma” concert to Singapore this December. Just in case if you were wondering what “dlwlrma” was, it corresponds to the position of the keys on a Korean keyboard when “이지금” is typed, which is one of her well-known nicknames.
It can be said that fans saw IU grew up whilst listening to her songs. From playful and bubbly tracks like GoodDay that gained mainstream success in early days of her career, to Twenty-three which was released when the singer turned 23 years old which was primarily a funky track, her tracks now exhibit the mature facade of herself, like Palette and BBIBBI which was dropped just a few days ago.
Having her tracks being crowned as one of the Best K-pop songs of 2017 by Billboard Magazine, IU proves herself as a multi-talented singer, as she partakes in the song production process, having written lyrics and music for her own tracks.
IU recently achieved an all-kill for her single BBIBBI, when her tracks topped major daily and real-time charts, which includes the charts of Melon, Genie, Bugs, Mnet, Naver, and Soribada.
Starting in Busan, then Gwangju, Seoul, Hong Kong then Singapore, get ready to meet IU this December as you serenade with her honey-like vocals on 15 December 2018 at The Star Theatre, The Star Performing Arts Centre. Don’t miss your one-and-only chance this time, UAENAs, as you’d be sure to be treated to a night of sweet serenade by IU herself!
Tickets are priced from S$268, S$228, S$188, S$148 and will go on sale on 13th Oct, 10:00am via APACTix ticketing channels.
