K-pop acts iKON and Super Junior draws 2018 Asian Games to a close

Palembang, Jarkata – Situated at Gelora Bung Karno stadium, the 2018 Asian Games came to a close on rainy Sunday, September 2. The closing ceremony was undoubtedly an unforgettable one when Super Junior and iKON took the stage, energising the crowd despite the dampened weather.

Among the line-up consisting of talented Indonesian artists such as Dira Sugandi and Jflow; Super Junior and iKON too were included in this spectacular 2018 Asian Games closing ceremony.

Ever since the announcement of these two well-known groups, fans have battled to get their hands on the tickets to watch this very moment. 

Fans from around the world and locals have expressed their excitement well. Both groups were seen trending both domestically and internationally on social media right from the moment they landed in Indonesia until the very end of their noteworthy performances. Additionally, some of their daily activities were even reported in the local newspaper; such as Siwon seen jogging in the neighbourhood!

The two groups gave us dynamic stages accompanied with pyrotechnics with iKON starting with their hit titles, LoveScenario and RhythmTa where the crowd was hyped up by the member’s endless energy. Super Junior then took on the stage to perform the crowd favourite, SorrySorry and then ending it off with remix versions of their other famous tunes, Mr. Simple and Bonamana. These familiar tunes gave the crowd a nostalgic feeling; a lot were seen singing and dancing along to these songs.
